Laser scanning is ideal for rapid and accurate data gathering of complex systems or components because within just a short time a complete 3-dimensional image is recorded of the local conditions. This advantage can also be used for inventory surveys in the fields of architecture or site supervision.


The evaluation of the laser data enables the modelling of the components in the degree of detail desired. The laser data are supplemented by high resolution photos taken from the same scanner positions. Thus from the existing data, the following can be recontructed:
